Change of management

We are pleased to announce that as of April 17, 2019, Dr. Thomas Dahlems (55) has been appointed the new managing director of the CTP Chemicals and Technologies GmbH in Rüsselsheim. Dr. Dahlems is replacing Dr. Geisler (58), who left the company as its long-time employee and managing director at his own request. Dr. Dahlems began his career in chemicals distribution in 1997 as head of the quality laboratory and technical expert for complex customer inquiries. This was followed by positions at Resolution, later Hexion and Momentive, as business manager for epoxy applications in the field of electro casting and composites. In 2013, Dr. Dahlems started working for Aditya Birla Chemicals Europe and in 2016 he became the managing director of the CTP Advanced Materials GmbH, our sister company. The strategic goal is to further integrate the CTP GmbH into the global epoxy resin activities of Aditya Birla Chemicals as the European mainstay and to significantly expand the business by strengthening the CeTePox® brand name as well as the Rüsselsheim location.

CTP and CTP Advanced Materials GmbH have merged to become one company

CTP and CTP Advanced Materials GmbH have merged to become the new CTP Advanced Materials GmbH, a subsidiary of the Aditya Birla Group Rüsselsheim, August 2019 / The Retroactive merger of the CTP Chemicals and Technologies for Polymers GmbH and the CTP Advanced Materials GmbH took place on April 1, 2019. In the course of this, the company name was standardized. The merged company now operates under the new and old name CTP Advanced Materials GmbH.  We are pleased to announce that the previous managing director of the two companies, Dr. Thomas Dahlems, took on the management of the new CTP Advanced Materials GmbH. Another step to strengthen our company as part of the Aditya Birla Group.

Daniel Maisack joined CTP GmbH as new R&D Coordinator 

We are pleased to announce that Dipl. Ing. (FH) Daniel Maisack (39) joined CTP Chemicals and Technologies for Polymers GmbH, part of Aditya Birla Chemicals, as R&D Coordinator on 01.05.2016.  In this role, Mr. Maisack will be in charge of coordinating the R&D activities and he will also provide advice on technical issues both to customers and to the company´s sales team.  After an apprenticeship as laboratory assistant, Mr. Maisack received his Chemicals Engineering degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Emden. He then joined CTP GmbH as a laboratory engineer in the advanced materials section and was responsible for developing composite applications for CTP-AM. Later on he worked as Laboratory Head at KCH in Siershahn where he developed binders for heavy duty acid and corrosion protection.  In his most recent position as Laboratory Head at AB-Polymerchemie GmbH in Aurich, Mr. Maisack was in charge of the industrial flooring coating materials product division and the development of corresponding EP and PU systems as well as advising customers.   

CTP GmbH appoints new Managing Director 

We are pleased to announce, Dr. Joerg-Peter Geisler (55) has been appointed as Managing Director of CTP Chemicals and Technologies for Polymers GmbH in Rüsselsheim, effective January 1st, 2016. Dr. Geisler will succeed Dr. Erhard Jacobi (65), founder and Managing Director of CTP GmbH, who will retire from the company by the end of 2015. However, Dr. Jacobi will continue to assist the company in an advisory role.   Dr. Geisler started his career with Hoechst AG in R&D and joined CTP GmbH in 1996 as head of R&D. He became technical director in 2000 and was further assigned to head all technical operations in addition to R&D. He has been an integral part of the CTP leadership team and contributed significantly to the growth of the business by developing new products, providing technical support to customers while also establishing strong systems and processes to manage operations. This announcement reflects als the continuity of the well-known strengths of CTP GmbH in engaging for customers through technical support as well as reliable products and services. The appointment of Dr. Geisler will lead to a further integration of the company as the European mainstay into Aditya Birla Chemicals global epoxy business and will grow the business to the next level, while strengthening the CeTePox®-brand and the company´s site at Rüsselsheim.   We also take the opportunity to thank Dr. Jacobi for building this company and creating CeTePox® as strong brand representing quality and reliability to our customers. 

Achim H. Klippstein will start as new Global Business Developing Manager 

Mr. Achim H. Klippstein will start at October 1st, 2015 at CTP Chemicals and Technologies for Polymers GmbH, part of Aditya Birla Chemicals.  As Global Business Developing Manager, he will be responsible for strengthening the global Epoxy Business. Additionally he will focus on the business of environmental and application friendly water based epoxy resins and curing agents.  Achim H. Klippstein has many years of experience and is one of the world’s leading experts in epoxy systems. Prior to joining CTP Mr. Klippstein worked with Akzonoble and Air Products in various roles and contributed to development of various technologies and solutions for industry. 

CeTePox® and Epotec successful together at the European Coatings Show 2015 

The joint appearance of Aditya Birla Chemicals and CTP GmbH at the European Coatings Show 2015 in Nuremberg was a great success. It was clear to see that we all live according to our common slogan “together we are stronger!” and from a strong team together.  The Aditya Birla Chemicals- and CTP-team would like to thank all our employees, business partner, friends and guests for the numerous visits at the European Coatings Show 2015. 

CTP GmbH strengthens the Sales Force 

Starting 1st February 2017, we have a new Area Sales Manager on board. Rafael Pliszek is responsible for Eastern Europe including Russia and Turkey. He began the career with an apprenticeship in Industrial Business Management at Evonik Industries AG, Essen, besides he has succeeded a B.A. degree in International Management. For additional seven years he continued at Evonik Industries in various sales and marketing functions for PU, plastic additives and construction chemicals sales divisions.  Recently, he worked at TIB Chemicals AG, Mannheim, as Sales & Marketing Manager for EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, he was responsible for special metal catalysts and process additives.  Fabio Darbe has a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Turin and started his career as R&D technician for epoxy systems at PO.INT.ER. in Italy.  He had direct responsibility in formulating epoxy hardener and resins for CE application and protective coatings.  After a short period at ddchem as responsible for marble and stones epoxy system, he joined Air Products as Sales Manager for Epoxy Additives Italy/Iberia and Greece.  He was responsible for sales and business development in South Europe managing direct customers and distributors.  Due to the broad experience of Mr Pliszek and Mr Darbe, we are convinced that they will successfully expand the various application field in their regions and markets as well as set new impulse. 

Training of Aditya Birla Chemicals Epoxy Division staffers at CTP Germany 

In March, members of the application and development lab of Aditya Birla Chemical´s epoxy division were trained at CTP´s R&D lab at Rüsselsheim.  Five days of working together with our guests from the Rayong, Thailand site were filled with presentations, lab trials and fruitful discussions on the CeTePox® portfolio of hardeners and epoxy resin blends as well as analytical tools and R&D-processes. The workshop-like atmosphere enabled the successful exchange of information and ideas.
